Skills Required : 
Experience in designing J2EE applications, applying J2EE patterns in the design and using UML for design is a must
Excellent coding skills in Java. Should have extensively coded and very comfortable with Java API specification (multi-threading, exception handling, I/O, collections etc.,).
Hands on experience in coding Servlets, JSP / JSF with good conceptual clarity.
Thorough hands on experience and clear understanding of EJB
Hands on experience in XML, XSLT, Hibernate, Ajax
Hands on experience and good comfort on Database concepts – good at writing SQL, Stored Procedures, Views
Excellent analytical and Problem Solving skills
Should be able to write JUnit Test Cases and Test Driven Development – strong focus on Unit Testing
Strong communication and interpersonal skills – should be able to crisply and clearly articulate problem statements, responses with detailed reasoning
